Every single day 3 children are told they have cancer.
A diagnosis of childhood cancer changes everything for a family. Everyday, they get up and have to face the reality and challenges that a cancer diagnosis brings. From hospital trips, to seemingly endless tests and treatments, isolation from school and friends, these are just some of the physical and emotional challenges they face everyday. Still, these children and their families get up every day and face what’s ahead.
When the everyday challenges feel impossible, Redkite is a lifeline helping families make it through. By choosing to get up with them every day in, you can show them they are not alone.
Walk - indoors, outdoors, on your own or with a team, you choose how and when you'll tackle 100km this June.
Every KM you run, every dollar you raise will help bring a bright light to the lives of children with cancer during their darkest days.
HOW IT WORKS
STEP 1
The most important step of all is your first step! Register for the Sun Up Challenge, choose your distance and the month and we'll send you all the information you need to get started!
STEP 2
Spread the word about why you’re helping families facing childhood cancer, and how their donation will provide financial, emotional, practical and educational support.
STEP 3
Get out while the Sun's Up and tackle that challenge! Remember to log your KM, get sponsored and feel good about helping families face childhood cancer. Of course don't forget to share your challenge on social media, and have fun!
WORKPLACES AND TEAMS

Grab your friends, family, work colleagues or schoolmates and ask them to support families facing childhood cancer with you. By taking part in the Sun Up Challenge as a team, you can make an even greater difference in the lives of children growing up with cancer, and their families. Let everyone know that you are running, strollings or rolling for a brighter future! Once you’ve created your team page, you can send out invites to everyone you know to join your team and raise funds together.
